Small Group Ministry

If you would be interested in joining a new Wednesday evening small group this Fall, please look over the list below to see what is available. Signing up for a small group is a commitment. It is our desire to have each small group a place where the study of God's Word is vital, as well as a place where we can share our lives with other believers in a committed fellowship. If you have any general questions about the small group ministry at MBC, please contact Pastor Eric. For any questions about a specific small group, please contact the leader of that particular group. The online sign up is at the bottom of this page.

New Wednesday Evening Small Groups

Four groups will be starting up in September.

Daniel - Living in Today's Pagan, Sinful World: How would you cope if tossed into a lion's den or fiery furnace? Maybe you have been or maybe you will find yourself in just that situation in the future. Would you survive? This small group will look at encouragement for such a time as this from the prophet Daniel. This small group will begin on September 5th. If you have any questions, please contact Bill Snyder.

Women's Bible/Book Study: Using A.W. Tozer's book, The Knowledge of the Holy, can help you gain a view of God's character in keeping with what is taught in Scripture. Each week there will be a 3-8 page chapter to read with accompanying Scriptures and 2-3 questions to help you examine your heart. One purpose of this small group is to help foster relationships between ladies of all ages for the purpose of encouragement and mentoring. About half of the group time will be devoted to sharing and praying for one another. This small group will begin on September 5th. If you have any questions, please contact Shawna Henry.

Prayer Meeting: We begin our group by singing a few songs followed by an opportunity to share testimonies. We then have a devotional time or discussion of a subject and then share prayer requests concluding with prayer. This group will begin on September 5th. If you have any questions, please contact Paul Habecker.

Self-Confrontation Study: The Self-Confrontation manual is designed with two purposes in mind: to help you experience victory and contentment in all of life's trials and problems by approaching relationships and circumstances from a Biblical perspective, and to prepare you to help others face, deal with, and endure their problems Biblically. Each lesson is designed, first, to explain the meaning of the specific Biblical principles, and then to incorporate them into your life through practical homework assignments. This group will begin on September 5th. If you have any questions, please contact Todd McAllister.
